Hello from Mexico.
I hope everybody at home is doing well and not worrying about me in this unfamiliar land I currently find myself in. I made a brief stop in southern Mexico, a town called Tulum, that turned into a longer stay than expected due to some technical difficulties and the Mexican nature of things here.
I ended up getting scuba certified after a three day course turned into five. Through the course I was able to dive in a couple different Cenotes, they are kindof like small lagoons that are conneceted through an extensive underwater river system. Due to weather conditions we were not able to scuba the ocean at all, that was a dissapointment. Hopefully that will soon come. I am headed to Belize tomorrow and will have the chance there to swim the depths of the Caribbean. The beaches here are beautiful and the water is a very nice temperature.
Sorry for the lack of pictures, due to a camera malfunction I have not been able to take a single picture. After a day of serching for a new battery, finally finding one and then finding that the new battery did not help, I have had to buy a new camera. Minor, issue but in Mexico a major pain in the ass. I will soon be posting pictures.
I hope all is well and travel in the spirit of all who are home.
Isaac

ReplyDeleteHey Isaac this is Erin, sounds like you're off to a pretty good start! I was looking at that website you told me about and I found a bunch of farms in Portugal that look pretty interesting. Looking forward to hearing about how you like the farming and work! Take care, everyone here says hi
ReplyDeleteI can tell by your questions about whether Dad and I are hiking that--with the beautiful weather down there--you've forgotten that Humboldt Co this time of year is cold, often wet, and windy! I'm sure we all envy you.
